SITE SECURITY & STORM PREPARATION
Identify vulnerable work areas (windows, open pipes, underground systems, etc.)
☐ Board up, cap, bury, or secure as needed.
Procure & store emergency supplies
☐ Netting, sandbags, tarps, banding, etc.
Keep site free of debris
☐ Regularly clear scrap and loose materials to reduce storm prep time.
Secure or restrain all materials and equipment
☐ Dumpsters
☐ Lumber
☐ Scaffold planks
☐ Port-a-potties
☐ Formwork and misc. tools
☐ Anything that could blow away
Review job-specific conditions
☐ Address any areas requiring special materials or early attention.
Confirm hurricane preparation notice
☐ Await direction from project manager.
☐ Allow sufficient time for site prep.
Support employee evacuation decisions
☐ Respect timely evacuations for personal and family safety.
DUMPSTER & SCRAP CONTROL
Remove loose scrap and debris from site
☐ Gather and dispose in dumpsters.
Empty dumpsters in advance
☐ If pickup unavailable, secure contents with netting.
